It was a big hit with my 2 year old and 4 year old nephews!

Would likely be more fun, but the mechanism to keep the mouth open broke within five minutes of using it. Mouth doesn’t stay open. So, I paid fourteen bucks for two plastic golf clubs and balls. Avoid at all costs.

My daughter received this toy for Christmas last year. She was so excited to get it. I thought it was going to be a great indoor game for her & her sisters. It was very disappointing from the very 1st time she played it. The ball was very hard to hit in the right place. It never did bounce back to her like it was supposed to. Which was the whole point of the game. We had to open the mouth by hand everytime it went shut so she could play it again. She grew tired of it in a few minutes, played it a couple of more times through last winter. We had a garage sale in July, it was on it. She did not want it any longer. She is 5, her sisters are 9 & 10 & they could not make it work correctly either.

Save your money and buy something else.

I was hoping this would be a fun indoor game for my three boys now that the weather is turning cooler. But it just doesn’t work like it should and lacks the entertainment factor. The object of the game is to hit the golf ball into the gators mouth and then have the ball pop up out the back and into the air. But when then ball is hit into the gators mouth it rarely ever makes it into the small opening in back where it is supposed to pop up in the air. We tried playing this on carpet and hardwood floors. Neither helped. Also tried hitting the ball from far away and from close up to the mouth. Again not much luck. The opening of the Gators mouth is large but once in the gator the ball rarely makes it to the small area to be popped up into the air. The gators mouth has to be propped open before hitting the ball towards it. That was no problem for my 5 year old but for my 3-year-old twins I constantly had to help them prop open the gators mouth.

The game comes with two golf clubs and balls. The golf clubs are flimsy and and easily bent. I’m bummed that this game wasn’t more fun and durable. It looked the right idea on TV. But after the kids realized the ball wasn’t going to pop up out the back they lost interest in it within a day since it wasn’t entertaining…
