I am very disappointed in Fisher Price, Amazon.com and myself….I happened to get ‘mail’ from Healthytoys.com and found that the adorable little Fisher Price Animal Farm set that my little grandson Leo would love has unacceptable levels of chlorine…which affects reproductive systems and may cause asthma…Mama Mia…of course, I’ll be sending it back to Amazon.com and will hurry to find something else for Leo. I am upset and angry at Fisher Price for still selling ‘bad’ toys…haven’t they gotten the message to clean up their act yet, I’m upset and angry at Amazon for being an outlet for these toys and, of course, upset with myself for not being diligent enough in researching my shopping. But, there is a silver lining, I found out about all of this before Chistmas…before Leo got to see the cute little farm set and love it. Bah Humbug!

My 19 month old received this as a Christmas gift this year. From the looks of it I thought it would be a great toy, but it’s pretty lame. First off, that silo thing comes off way too easily and it’s really hard to put back on. It came off literally within minutes of taking it out of the packaging. My daughter will sit and play with the toy, but only for a few minutes because it doesn’t do anything exciting. There is sliding thing in the front that will push the plastic figure out through the side and it tumbles down the sloping barn. Whoop dee do. There are some sounds, but since ours didn’t come with batteries I haven’t heard them yet. There are also two little sliding windows on the side….not too exciting. Overall for the price of this set, I think it could use a little more pizazz.

My 14-month-old loves this farm set. He’s had it for over a month and still plays with it every day. The animals are very cute and fit well in his little hands. He likes to carry one of them around the house. This farm is a great toy for teaching your child animal names and sounds. The silo has an opening at the top and a door at the bottom, so you can drop the animals in the top opening and then play “peekaboo” by opening the door. My only complaint is that it’s hard for a little kid to get the sheep in and out of its pen, and the “baaaa” noise will occasionally go off on its own when we’re not playing with the farm.

I recently got this farm for my 10 month old. After 1 month the hair was coming out of the cow & sheep in clumps. I’m no doctor, but I’m sure this isn’t safe for your little one to be ingesting. Why did they put fur on these things???? Don’t bother buying it. Look for the older version.

We purchased the Little People Animal sounds farm set for our oldest daughter’s first birhtday, which was 3 years ago. We LOVE this fantastic toy! Lots of fun animal sounds, songs, and hours and hours of playtime fun. My oldest daughter has never tired of playing with this set, even after three years. She is now 4 years old and still spends lots of time every day playing with her farm set, and now her little sister, who is 1 year old is joining in on the playing and learning fun too! This toy is also unbelievably durable! It has been played with non stop, stood on, jumped off of (my daughter is a little dare-devil), and used so much and it is still (very surprisingly) in perfect shape – nothing has broken or come loose or anything! This is a toy that will last years and years for my 3 rambunctious kids and we also plan on saving this toy (and all of the little people toys they have,as they are all extremely durable and fantastic) for our grandkids one day! You will NOT regret purchasing this or any Little People toy! Hours and years of fun for all kids! Highly, highly reccommend!!!!!
